Building automation · owner's side

Know what your building automation system actually has, and set the standard for what comes next.

Vendor-neutral reviews, written BAS standards and multi-year controls strategy for campuses, districts and owners with many buildings. We work for the owner, not the installer.

What a standard covers

One document every installer builds to

Naming and taggingPoint and equipment names, Haystack or Brick tags, so data lines up across buildings and vendors.
Network and cybersecuritySegmentation, remote access, accounts and passwords, coordinated with your IT team.
Controllers and integrationOpen protocols, supervisory platform, third-party integrations and licensing.
Alarms and trendsAlarm priorities and routing, trend intervals and retention.
GraphicsNavigation, equipment page layouts and floor plans, built with graphics partners.
Acceptance and closeoutPoint-to-point checks, functional testing sign-off, and as-built points lists and risers at turnover.
How it works

Mostly remote, on your schedule

  1. Send exports

Station or device exports from Niagara, your BACnet device list, and any drawings or past specs.

  2. We map it

Points list, device inventory and network riser, with every value traced to your exports.

  3. We review with you

A working session with facilities and IT on what we found and what matters most.

  4. You get the documents

Findings report, standard or roadmap, in editable form, plus one revision round.

What we don't do
  • Sell, install or program equipment, or take commissions from vendors.
  • Stamp engineering designs or sequences of operation. Where a licensed engineer is required, we work alongside yours.
